About Us

The Brooklyn Bakery is a celebration of classic Americana with a modern twist. The Brooklyn Bakery’s style is anchored in vintage revival for our generation of Facebookers, Twitterers, and bloggers. We are very proud to provide our online customers with a product line where over 50% of all of our goods are made here in the United States.

What’s with the name?

We used the term “Bakery” because we wanted to reproduce for our brand the same feeling we get when we walk into a bakery: rows of delicious colors and eye candy. Since Brooklyn is the main inspiration for our designs, we decided to name the shop “The Brooklyn Bakery”.  We started The Brooklyn Bakery based on a theory that people want to be able to express their individuality, and create items for people to make a discernible statement of style.

What inspires the designs?

We gain inspiration from history, architecture, art, and as one of the most artistically saturated urban areas in the world, Brooklyn, New York serves as an endless supply of inspiration for design.

How do we make this stuff?

Our leather goods are made in the USA: each piece is individually cut, branded and inspected to ensure the highest quality. The edges are painted and the brass snaps are tightly fastened to secure in each application.

Hi, Love the style of your products. Found your product via FAB.com. Did you print on the leather? The stained glass cuff is just amazing. I am curious to know more about your “socially responsible condition” story.

Hi Koo Ho Shin – Thank you! We do print and emboss our leather for some of the styles.

Our “socially responsible condition” story is that we support a network of small businesses here in the US, where all our employees are paid fair wages.
